Billing Module
Your Plan & Subscription
Your own account’s plan, trial status, and subscription — separate from anything company-specific, since it follows you, not any one company.
Your plan
1Check your plan and trial
Open Billing from the app menu. The top panel, Your Plan, always shows your current plan name, how many companies you’re using against your limit, and — once you’ve subscribed — your next payment date.
If you’re still inside your free trial, a banner across the top shows exactly how many days are left. During the trial you get full access to every feature, up to the trial’s own company limit — you don’t need to subscribe to anything to use the app while it’s running.
2Subscribe to a plan
Below Your Plan, every available plan is shown as a card — its price, how many companies it allows, and a rough sense of feature access (“All features” or a feature-area count). Pick Monthly or Annual at the top first, since each plan’s price card reflects whichever cycle is selected.
Click Subscribe on a plan to be redirected to Paystack’s own secure checkout. Complete payment there and you’re brought back here — your plan updates automatically once the payment is confirmed, with no extra step on your part.
3Cancel a subscription
Click Cancel Subscription in the Your Plan panel (shown once you have an active or non-renewing subscription) and confirm. You keep your current plan’s access until it actually lapses at the end of the paid period — cancelling doesn’t cut you off immediately, it just stops the next renewal.
Common tasks
Switching monthly / annual
The Monthly/Annual toggle only changes which price you’d pay on a new subscription — it doesn’t change billing for a plan you’re already subscribed to. To actually move your existing subscription to the other cycle, cancel first, then subscribe again once it lapses.
What “companies used” means
This counts companies where you’re the original owner — specifically, whoever created the company. Being added as a member or admin of someone else’s company doesn’t count against your own limit; only companies you personally started do.
Your personal account
If someone adds you to their company, you also get a personal account of your own, set up automatically. It’s separate from the company you were added to — only you can see it, and it stays yours if you ever leave that company. Use it for your own tasks, money and goals; it also appears as a choice when you create a task, so personal tasks have a home.
A personal account has full access, free for 90 days from the day you first use it — meaning the first time you actually do something in it (like adding a task or an expense). Just looking around, or working in the company you were added to, doesn’t start the clock. When the 90 days end, it moves to the free plan unless you subscribe, and nothing you’ve added is deleted.
Because you didn’t sign up yourself, we may send you up to three short emails inviting you to try it (a few days after you’re added, then again a couple of weeks and about six weeks later). They stop as soon as you start using the account, and every one has an Unsubscribe link that ends them for good.

Status reference

|---|---|
| Active | Subscription is current and will renew automatically. |

| Cancelled | Access has fully lapsed; you’re back on the default plan. |
What this module doesn’t do
There’s no downloadable receipt or payment history list here — Paystack’s own checkout email is your record of each charge.
Moving between plans, or between monthly and annual, means cancelling the current subscription and starting a new one — see Switching monthly / annual.
This page is about your own account’s plan and trial. It has nothing to do with a company’s own finances, invoices, or its customers’ payments — those live in their own modules.
