The FinAccounting Community
A public place to ask questions, share tips and find a bookkeeper or accountant who works with FinAccounting. Open it from the Community link at the top of the website, or from Help inside the app.
Discussions
1Ask a question
Go to Community and click Start a discussion. Pick the category that fits best — Getting Started, Bookkeeping & Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Mobile Money & Banking, Feature Requests, or Tips & Success Stories — give it a clear title and explain what you’re trying to do. The more detail you give, the better the answers.
Use Search discussions first: someone may already have asked the same thing.
Discussions can be read by anyone and found on Google. Never share passwords, bank PINs, or your customers’ private details.
2Reply and mark the answer
Anyone signed in can reply. When a reply solves your problem, click Mark as answer under it. That reply moves to the top under Accepted answer, and the discussion shows as Answered in the list, so the next person with the same question finds the solution straight away.
Replies from our staff carry a FinAccounting Team badge; replies from approved accountants carry a Partner badge.
If something breaks the rules, click Report under it and we’ll take a look.
3Reply emails
When someone replies to a discussion you started or replied in, you get an email with the reply and a link back to it. To stop these emails, use the link at the bottom of any of them.
Partners
4Find an accountant
Open Find an accountant to see bookkeepers, tax advisers and chartered accountants who set up and support businesses on FinAccounting. Filter by region and by service — bookkeeping, tax filing, payroll, audit, business registration, FinAccounting setup and training, or advisory — and search by name or town.
Each listing has WhatsApp, Call and Email buttons, so you can contact the partner directly. Partners are independent professionals: agree fees and what’s included with them before work starts.
5Become a partner
Accountants and bookkeepers can be listed for free. On the partner page, click Become a partner, sign in, and fill in your practice name, region and town, the services you offer, your professional body and membership number, your phone, WhatsApp and email, and a short description of who you help.
We review every application and email you when it’s approved. Once approved, your listing goes live in the directory and you get the Partner badge when you answer questions in the community. You can update your details any time from the same page, and approved changes show straight away.

Prefer WhatsApp? Use Join our WhatsApp community — on the Community pages, the partner directory, or under Help in the app — for updates, quick tips and a friendly place to ask questions. Anything worth keeping for others is best asked in the forum too, where it stays searchable.
Community rules
- Be kind and assume good intent — everyone was new once.
- Stay on topic: business finances, accounting, tax, payroll and using FinAccounting.
- No spam or unsolicited advertising. Partners can mention their services where it genuinely helps the question.
- Keep private information private.
Posts that break these rules can be hidden, and repeated abuse can lead to losing access.
For site owners: moderation
Signed in as the site owner, you see moderation tools on the community pages themselves: Pin to top, Close replies, Hide discussion, Move to another category, and Hide on any reply. Review partner applications lists every application with Approve, Decline and Hide listing buttons — the applicant is emailed either way, with your optional note. Community settings is where you paste your WhatsApp Community invite link (or a WhatsApp Channel link); until it’s set, the WhatsApp buttons stay hidden. New discussions, reports and partner applications are recorded in System Logs, and reports and applications are also emailed to the site’s admin address.
